Description

Effective December 31, 2024, all printer configurations for the HID FARGO HDP5000 will be discontinued.

As part of HID FARGO's effort to streamline its product portfolio, the HDP5000 card printer is being discontinued. The recommended replacement is the new HID FARGO HDP5000e, which offers enhanced features and compatibility with the latest consumables.

Discontinuation Timeframe:

  • Effective Immediately: All HDP5000 printer configurations without lamination are discontinued.
  • December 31, 2024: All HDP5000 printer configurations with lamination will be discontinued.
  • After the End-of-Life (EOL) date, the HDP5000 will no longer be available for purchase. However, HID Global will continue to provide support for the HDP5000 until December 31, 2027, ensuring a smooth transition for customers.

Consumables Transition:

Current HDP5000 consumables will no longer be available for purchase after December 31, 2024. Users will need to switch to the new HDP5K Sync consumables to maintain printer functionality beyond this date.
